Ara : Police, on a tip off, arrested a Sand mafia Satyendra Pandey along with his son Chhotu Pandey and driver Kaushal Singh from Girija Mor under Nawada police station(PS), Ara, in Bhojpur District in South Bihar. Police also seized 2 kg of Ganja from their Scorpio and seized the vehicle on August 12, 2021. Satyendra Pandey is a resident of village Pachrukhia village under Koelwar PS while the driver is a resident of Babura.
Bhojpur SP Vinay Tiwari said that after preparing the list of sand mafia, police are conducting raids to arrest them. Police, acting on a tip off, conducted raid in the area near Girija Mor and arrested three persons including Satyendra Pandey and seized 2kg of Gnaja and the Scorpio, the SP said. Police are interrogating them.
Sand mafia Satyendra Pandey has criminal record and over a dozen criminal cases are pending against him with different police stations including those related to sand smuggling, murder, firing, attack on police, and Arms Act.
