Buxar : An inmate of Buxar Open Jail died during treatment on August 6, 2021. The deceased was identified as Lagan Rai of village Chechar in Vaishali District in North Bihar.
Police brought the body over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Lagan Rai was undergoing life imprisonment. Buxar Open Jail administration said that Lagan Rai was undergoing life imprisonment and was shifted to the Buxar Open Jail considering his good behaviour. Lagan Rai fell ill on August 5, 2021, night, and was admitted to Buxar Sadar Hospital where he died during treatment. Jail administration has informed his family members about his death.
