Ara :“Ortho Polio Clinic”, Ara, in Bhojpur District in South Bihar organised a function on August 3, 2021, to mark its 40th Foundation Day. Dr Ashok Kumar Sinha, founder of the Orto Polio Clinic, said that the erstwhile Shahabad did not have facility for treatment of polio earlier.
A resident of Ara, Dr Sinha said that once he had visited Ara Sadar Hospital to attend a camp where he met noted surgeon of Ara Dr Jyotindra Sahay and Dr Anirudh Kumar, who persuaded him to start a Ortho Polio Clinic at Ara in the interest of the people. Inspired by their suggestion, Dr Sinha founded the Ortho Polio Clinic on August 2, 1981, and since then the clinic has been dedicated to serve the people. Dr Sinha said that he gets inner satisfaction seeing the patients get cured.
Dr Sinha studied H P D Jain School and passed matriculation in 1968 and after taking degree in Physiotherapy, he started his Ortho Polio Clinic at Ara.
