Patna : Only 46 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in Bihar on July 28, 2021, down from 76 cases on the previous day, although the Active cases count in the state increased by 1 to reach 480 on July 29, 2021. Bihar registered 3 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,642 in the state on July 29.
Bihar has recorded 7,24,719 Covid-19 cases so far of which 7,14,596 patients have been declared cured including 42 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) still remaining pegged at 98.60% on July 29, 2021. The state has tested 3,70,38,561 samples so far including 1,43,658 samples on July 28, 2021.
The 42 new Covid-19 cases included 6 in Patna, 5 in Bhojpur, 3 in Mdhubani, 3 in Nalanda, 3 in Purnia, 2 in Samastipur, 2 in Saran, 2 in Sitamarhi, 2 in Supaul, 2 in Lakhisarai, and 2 in Jamui.
The 3 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 1 each in West Champaran, Begusarai, and Bhojpur. With it, the toll climbed to 457 in Begusarai, 358 in West Champaran, and 159 in Bhojpur.
