Ara : Some miscreants lynched a young man near Middle School, Shahpur, under Shahpur police station (PS) in Bhojpur District around midnight on July 25,2021. The deceased was identified as Ashok Yadav, 25, son of Kamlesh Yadav of Shahpur Ward No 8.
Irate villagers blocked Ara-Buxar main road near Shahpur Middle School with the body paralysing movement of vehicles on July 26, 2021. They demanded arrest of miscreant and compensation to the next of kin of the deceased. The blockade was lifted after positive response from the police officials. Later, police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
SHO, Shahpur PS, Nityanand Sharma, said that Ashok Yadav had come out of his house around midnight but did not return home. Later, his family members were informed that Ashok Yadav had been killed and his body was lying on road in ta pool of blood near Shahpur Middle School and they also informed police.
