New Delhi : India registered 39,742 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hourstaking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 3,13,71,901 at 8 am on July 25, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for the 28th consecutive day.
On the other hand, a total of 39,972 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,05,43,138 on July 25, 2021. This constitutes an overall recovery rate of 97.36%.
India’s Active Caseload was 4,08,212 on July 25, 2021, a drop of 765 cases in last 24 hours, and now constitute 1.30% of the country’s total Positive Cases. Weekly Positivity Rate is currentlywas 2.24% while the Daily Positivity rate stands was 2.31% on July 25. Daily Positivity rate has remained less than 3% for 34 consecutive days.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 43 crore on July 24, 2021. Cumulatively,43,31,50,864 vaccine doses have been administered through 52,72,43 1sessions, as per the provisional report till 8 am on July 25, 2021. A total of 51,18,210 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 17,18,756 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 45.62 crore (45,62,89,567) tests so far, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
India recorded 535 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,20,551 in the country on July 25, 2021, including 1,31,429 in Maharashtra, 36,352 in Karnataka, 33,889 in Tamilnadu, 25,041 in Delhi, 22,749 in Uttar Pradesh, 18,064 in West Bengal, 16,258 in Punjab, 9,637 in Bihar, and 5,124 in Jharkhand.
