Patna : Active cases dropped to 529 in Bihar including 98 in Patna on July 24 as 75 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 on July 23, 2021, down from 85 on the day before. Bihar also recorded 2 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,637 in the state on July 24, 2021. Active cases count in Bihar was 581 on July 23, 2021.
The state has recorded 724390 Covid-19 cases so far of which 714223 patients have been declared cured including 125 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 98.60% on July 24, 2021. Bihar has conducted 3,63,05,828 sample tests so far including 1,61,531 tests on July 23, 2021.
The 75 new Covid-19 cases included 12 in Patna, 8 in Khagaria, 7 in Purnia, 4 in Darbhanga, 4 in Muzaffarpur, 3 in Sitamarhi, 3 in Sheikhpura, and 3 in Gopalganj.
The two new deaths due to Covid-19 included 1 each in Siwan and Darbhanga. With this, the toll climbed to 364 in Dabhanga and 170 in Siwan on July 24, 2021.
Meanwhile, Health Department, Bihar Government, and Metal Scrap Trade Corporation ( MSTC ) Limited signed an MoU on July 24, 2021. State Health Minister Mangal Pandey was present on the occasion.
