New Delhi : India logged 39,097 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, exceeding the daily recoveries, taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,13,32,159 at 8 am on July 24, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 27 consecutive days. A total of 35,087 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,05,03,166 in the country on July 24.
India’s Active Caseload was 4,08,977 on July 24, 2021, an increase of 3,464 cases in last 24 hours, and accounted for 1.31% of the country’s total Positive Cases. The Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.22% while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.40% on July 24. Daily Positivity rate has remained less than 3% for 33 consecutive days, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 42.78 Cr. Cumulatively, 42,78,82,261 vaccine doses have been administered through 52,34,188 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on July 24, 2021. A total of 42,67,799 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
A total of 16,31,266 sample tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 45.45 crore (45,45,70,811) tests so far.
Out of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,05,03,166 people have already recovered from Covid- 19 last 24 hours. and this constitutes an overall recovery rate of 97.35%. India logged 546 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,20,016 on July 24, 2021.
