New Delhi : India recorded 35,342 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, down from 41,383 cases on July 22, taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,12,93,062 at 8 am on July 23, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for the 26th consecutive day.
On the other hand, a total of 38,740 Covid-19 patients were declared cured in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,04,68,079 on July 23, 2021, constituting an overall recovery rate of 97.36% from 97.35% on July 22.
India’s Active Caseload today was 4,05,513 on July 23, 2021, a drop of 3,881 cases in last 24 hours, and accounted for 1.30% of the country’s total Positive Cases. Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 2.14% while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.12% on July 23, 2021. The Daily Positivity rate has remained less than 3% for 32 consecutive days.
Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage crossed 42 crore landmark on July 22, 2021. Cumulatively, 42,34,17,030 vaccine doses have been administered through 51,94,364 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on July 23. Altogether 54,76,423 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
A total of 16,68,561 sample tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 45.29 crore (45,29,39,545) tests so far.
India recorded 483 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,19,470 on July 23, 2021, including 1,31,038 in Maharashtra, 36,293 in Karnataka, 33,838 in Karnataka, 25040 in Delhi, 22,743 in Uttar Pradesh, 18,040 in West Bengal, 16,250 in Punjab, and 15,739 in Kerala.
