Patna : World No 100 Arthur Rinderknech, 25, France, stunned 2nd seed Roberto Bautista Agut, 33, Spain, in 2nd round on July 21, 2021, to reach quarter-finals of Swiss Open Gstaad, Switzerland, an ATP 250 points outdoor clay courts tournament. Rinderknech beat World No 16 Agut in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 in 2nd round.

Frenchman Rinderknech won 4 break points in the match to 1 by the Spaniard. Rinderknech also won 3 games in a row during the match.  He also fired 7 Aces during the match to just 2 by Agut. Rinderknech, in all, won 75 points to 58 by Agut.

Rinderknech  will face World No 52 & 7th seed Laso Djere, 26, Serbia, in QF on July 23, 2021. Djere beat World No 212 Zizou Bergs, 22, Belgium,  in a three-set contest 6-2, 4-6, 6-2 in 2nd round.
