Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Aavya Singh, a Class VIII DPS Bokaro student, secured International rank 1 at in the global quiz competition organised by Mumbai based Prayatna Educational Society on the eve of National Day of France (July 14, 2021. The quiz competition was based on the theme ‘Tour of Paris’ and was held on the virtual platform.
Four students : Aavya Singh (1st), Suraj Kumar (7th), Amogh Anand Jha (14th), and Aarav Kumar (16th), figured among the top 25 at this global quiz competition.
A total of 3,000 students from 260 schools across the globe including countries like UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, and India, participated at the competition. Prominent schools like Abu Dhabi Indian School, Amity International School, Apeejay School, Bal Bharati Public School, Billabong High International School, Cambridge International School, Emerald Valley Public School, G D Goenka Public School, GEMS Genesis International School, Global Indian International School Abu Dhabi, K R Mangalam World School, Manav Rachna International School, Charmwood Village, Maxfort School – Pitampura, Presidium School, Sanskriti School Chanakyapuri etc. participated at the competition. Top 25 students were awarded with vouchers worth Rs 1,000 and a certificate each.
Principal, DPS Bokaro, A.S Gangwar, congratulated the winners and wished them success for future. He said these competitions bring out the best in the student’s ability and provide them an opportunity to compete at the global level making every student well equipped with the latest trends.
