Patna : 8th Seed Kevin Anderson, 35, South Africa, beat World No 126 Jenson Brooksby, 20, USA, in straight sets in final to lift the Hall of Fame Open, an ATP 250 points grass court tournament at Newport, USA, title, on July 19, 2021, his first title since January 20219. It is Anderson’s 7th ATP singles title. Anderson defeated Brooksby 7-6, 6-4 in final in 2 hrs 11 minutes.

Anderson, the 2017 US Open and 2018 Wimbledon finalist,  fired 16 Aces during the match to 6 by the America. The South African won 3 games in a row during the match besides winning a break point. He also won the tiebreak. Anderson, in all, won 83 points in the match to 78 by Brooksby. Anderson had defeated top seed Alexander Bublik, Kazakhstan, in semi-final.
