New Delhi : India recorded 38,164 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases registered so far in the country to 3,11,44,229 at 8 am on July 19, 2021. Less than 50,000 Daily New Cases have been reported for 22nd consecutive days.
On the other hand, a a total of 38,660 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally 3,03,08,456 in the country on July 19, 2021. Out of the people infected since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,03,08,456 people have already recovered and constitute an overall recovery rate of 97.32% showing a sustained increasing trend.
Meanwhile, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 40.64 crore. Cumulatively, 40,64,81,493 vaccine doses have been administered through 50,69,232 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on July 19, 2021. A total of 13,63,123 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
India’s Active Caseload was 4,21,665 on July 19, 2021, a drop of 995 cases in last 24 hours, and accounted for 1.35% of the country’s total Positive Cases. A continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. Weekly Positivity Rate is currently 2.08% while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.61% on July 19. Daily Positivity rate has remained less than 3% for 28 consecutive days.
With substantially ramped up testing capacity, a total of 14,63,593 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted over 44.54 crore (44,54,22,256) tests so far.
