Ara : A student was killed while his friend was seriously injured when their motorcycle collided with a truck near newly constructed eastern overbridge under Nawada police station (PS), Ara, in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on July 13, 2021, morning.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased was identified as Ankit Kumar, 18, son of Virendra Paswan alias Chunnu Paswan of Jawahar Tola under Ara Town PS while the injured has been identified as Sagar Kumar, 18, son of Virendra Prasad of Kalyanpur village under Bihta police station in Patna District. The injured lives with his maternal grand-father since his childhood for study. The deceased had passed matriculation examination this year from DAV Public School.
SHO, Nawada PS, Ara, said that Ankit Kumar along with his friend Sagar Kumar had gone to Ara railway station on a motorcycle to bring flowers for worship on July 13, 2021, morning. When they were returning home, their motorcycle collided with a truck in which Ankit Kumar was killed while Sagar Kumar was seriously injured.
