Aurangabad : Four unidentified bike borne criminals shot and injured a Reliance petrol pump cashier Ram Niwas Singh in broad daylight and looted Rs 48 lakh cash from him near Siris roundabout on NH2 under Barun police station in Aurangabad District in South Bihar on July 12, 2021, when he along with another staff was going to Dehri branch of Punjab National Bank (PNB) to deposit the cash.
DSP, Aurangabad, Anoop kumar, said that Ram Niwas Singh, cashier of Reliance petrol pump located on G T Road, was on way to Dehri Bbranch of PNB to deposit the cash of petrolpump. As soon as he reached near Siris roundabout along with a staff of petrol pump on his bike, four criminals riding on two bikes stopped him and tried to snatch the bag containing Rs 48 lakh from him. When he protested, the criminals shot him and escaped with the cash kept in the bag.
Ram Niwas Singh, received gun shot injuries on his shoulder and was admitted to a hospital. He is resident of Japla in Jharkhand state. The police said some CCTV footage are being examined to identify the criminals and raids are on to nab them.
