Ara : Police on July 10, 2021, arrested a most wanted criminal Chhotu Mishra from village Kuberchak under Koelwar police station (PS) in BHojpur District in South Bihar and also recovered a pistol and five live cartridges from his possession. Chhotu Mishra is a resident of village Madhukarpur under Dinara PS in Rohtas District in South Bihar presently living at Anand Nagar under Ara Town PS.
Bhojpur SP Rakesh Kumar Dubey, taking to mediapersons on July 10, 2021, evening, said that Chhotu Mishra and his aides had pumped 11 bullets into the body of a contractor and sand businessman Raju Yadav at Moti Tola Mor under Ara Town PS on July 4, 2021, in a dispute over a pond and also had threatened his nephew Bajrangi Yadav with dire consequences.
The SP said that he took it seriously and formed a police team under SDPO Pankaj Kumar Rawat and the police team conducted raids at different places to arrest Chhto Mishra and his aides. Police got information that Chhotu Mishra had come to village Kuberchak village, near Kulharia, under Koelwar police station. The police team at once conducted raid and arrested Chhotu Mishra and seized one pistol and five live cartridges from his possession.
The SP stated that Chhotu Mishra was quite active in the area for the last six months and at least 10 criminal cases of murder and rangdari are pending with different police stations against him. He was absconding in six criminal cases. The SP said that his aides are also involved in all criminal cases with him. Police have identified all his aides and would very soon arrest them, SP Dubey said.
