New Delhi : India reported 43,733 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases registered so far to 3,06,63,665 at 8 am on July 7, 2021.
On the other hand,a total of 47,240 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours in the country taking the tally to 2,97,99,534 on July 7, 2021, with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 97.18%. Daily recoveries continued to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 55th consecutive day.
India logged 930 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 4,04,211 on July 7, 2021, includin 1,23,531 in Maharashtra, 35,526 in Karnataka, 33,132 in Tamilnadu, 25,001 in Delhi, 22,656 in Uttar Pradesh, 17,834 in West Bengal, 16,131 in Punjab, 13,960 in Kerala, 13,462 in Chhattisgarh, 9,612 in Bihar, 7,338 in Uttarakhand, and 5118 in Jharkhand, according to a Union Health Ministry figure.
Weekly Positivity Rate remains below 5% and was 2.39% on July 7, 2021. The daily positivity rate was 2.29%, less than 3% for 16th consecutive day on July 7.
India’s Active Caseload further declined to 4,59,920 on July 7, 2021, a drop of 4,437 cases in last 24 hours. Active cases accounted for only 1.5% of total cases on July 7, 2021.
Meanwhile, over 36.13 crore ( 36,13,23,548) Vaccine Doses have been administered so far in the country under Nationwide Vaccination Drive including 36,05,998 doses on July 6, 2021. India has so far tested 42,33,32,097 samples including 19,07,216 samples on July 6, 2021.
