The programme started with a melodious rendition of welcome song followed by the cake cutting ceremony, release of the quarterly publication ‘Zenith’, and unveiling of a stimulating painting, depicting holistic education.

Promoting the idea of ‘Green Earth’, Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, planted a sapling to mark the occasion. Books and bags were also distributed for the students of ‘Deepansh Siksha Kendra’ (a school run for the underprivileged children of the society). The book packets were handed over to the parents due to Covid-19 pandemic.

The school released its Foundation Day celebration video capturing the glorious moments and achievements along with the Principal’s message. The teachers and staff members  promised to collaborate and give their best for the glorification of the school in future also.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal, DPS Bokaro, A S Gangwar, thanked the stakeholders and the founder members including the founder Principal M S Tyagi, who as a team, steered the destiny of the school in the right direction with great foresight and vision.  He acknowledged the parent community for their active involvement and support. He added, “The unforeseen challenges have provided an opportunity to undergo metamorphosis wherein we emerged more successful assimilating online teaching into our pedagogy.”

Principal Gangwar wished the staff, the students, and the parents, and said that it was a shared effort of everyone. “The success of a school cannot be measured on the basis of its academic results or the number of work placements but on how the alumni are doing as adults and as members of the civil society,” the Principal said.
