New Delhi : India logged 46,617 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far in the country to 3,04,58,251 at 8 am on July 2, 2021.
On the other hand, a total of 59,384 Covid-19 patient were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,95,48,302 on July 2, 2021. Daily recoveries continued to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 50th consecutive day on July 2. The Recovery Rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients increased to 97.01% in India on July 2.
India’s Active Caseload declined to 5,09,637 on July 2, 2021, a drop of 13,620 cases in last 24 hours, and accounted for only 1.67% of total cases. The Weekly Positivity Rate was 2.57% on July 2. Daily positivity rate was 2.48% on July2, less than 5% for 25th consecutive day, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
India recorded 853 new deaths due to Covid-19 taking the toll to 4,00,312 in the country on July 2, 2021.
