Motihari : PM Narendra Modi on July 1, 2021, interacted with one of the beneficiaries of ‘Digital India’ from East Champaran District in North Bihar, Kanti Devi, 70, who is being treated digitally under e-Sanjeevani scheme, through video conference, on the occasion of ‘Digital India’ completing six years since its launch. Kanti Devi is being treated under e- Sanjeevani by KGMC Hospital, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, doctor, since last April and is improving fast.
Kanti Devi of village Gavandri under Dhaka Block in East Champaran District had been selected for interaction with PM Modi and she joined the interaction on line through district unit of National Informatic Centre from at her residence at village Gavandri, 30 km away from Motihari, the district headquarters. This programme , which started at 11 am was witnessed by hundreds of villagers. East
Champaran DM and District Informatic Officer Sanjiv Kumar Mishra were present during the programme.

helped by her grandson Shubham, said that she was improving fast bythe digital advice of doctor of KGMC Hospital,Lucknow, in last three months. She said that she is suffering from mental health problem and was under treatment of a doctor of Motihari,who referred her to go KGMC Hospital at Lucknow,which is 500km away from her village.
Her grandson Shubham Kumar informed the PM that he got an appointment from doctor of KGMC Hospital and reached there. The doctor of old age mental health department, KGMC, examined her and prescribed medicine for ten days but lockdown was enforced the the same day and OPD got closed. ” We again met the doctor and narrated the situation to him. The doctor consoled them and said he will give timely advice through e – Sanjeevani App online. The doctor told Shubham that he would prescribe new medicine if necessary to his grand mother. Shubham informed the PM that said his grand mother is improving fast and they very satisfied with digital services .
