New Delhi : India logged 48,698 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,01,83,143 cases at 8 am on June 26, 2021. Less than 1 lakh Daily New Cases have been reported for 19the successive day now. India recorded 1,183 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 3,94,493 in the country on June 26.
On the other hand, a total of 64,818 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,91,93,085 in the country as daily recoveries continued to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 44th consecutive day on June 26, 2021.More than 16,000 (16,120) recoveries were reported during the last 24 hours as compared to the daily new cases.
The Recovery Rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients increased to 96.72% in the country on June 26 showing a sustained increasing trend. India’s Active Caseload declined to 5,95,565 on June 26, 2021, a drop of 17,303 cases in last 24 hours. It is less than 6 lakh after 86 days. Avtive cases accounted for only 1.97% of the country’s total Positive Cases on June 26.
In a significant development, India’s cumulative vaccination coverage exceeded 31 Crore on June 25, 2021. A total of 31,50,45,926 vaccine doses have been administered so far through 42,00,839 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am on June 26, 2021. A total of 61,19,169 vaccine doses were administered in last 24 hours in the country. The new phase of universalisation of Covid-19 vaccination commenced from June 21, 2021.
With substantially ramped up testing capacity across the country, a total of 17,35,781 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours in the country. Cumulatively, India has conducted 39,95,68,448) tests so far, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
While on one side testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, a continued decline in weekly case positivity is noticed. Weekly Positivity Rate is currently at 2.97% while the Daily Positivity rate was 2.79% on June 26, 2021. It has remained less than 5% for 19 consecutive days now.
