Patna : India were struggling at 89/5 in their second innings in the first session of play on Day 6 in WTC final against New Zealand (NZ) at The Rose Bowl, Southampton, UK, on June 23, 2021, with Ajinkya Rahane batting on 5 and Rishabh Pant (wk) unbeaten on 11.

Resuming at their overnight score of 64/2, India soon lost two wickets that of captain Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Puajara. Kohli fell to fast medium bowler Kyle Jamieson for 13 in 29 balls making it 71/3. Puajara also fell to Jamieson for 15 and it was 72/4. Jamieson has taken 2/21 so far. Kohli had scored 44 runs in first innings while Pujara had scored 8 runs.
