Patna : Active cases further declined to 5,311 in Bihar including 548 in Patna on June 13 as only 487 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on June 12, 2021. The count of Active cases in Bihar was 5,700 on June 12, 2021. Bihar logged 8 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,492 in the state on June 13, 2021.
Of the 717215 Covid-19 cases reported so far in Bihar, a total of 702411 patients have been declared cured in the state including 868 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) further improving to 97.94% on June 13 from 97.88% on June 12, 2021. Bihar has tested 3,13,23,190 samples so far including 1,10,037 samples on June 12, 2021.
The 487 new Covid-19 cases included 45 in Gopalganj, 37 in Patna, 31 in Purnia, 29 in Samastipur, 28 in Supaul, 25 in Katihar, 21 in Darbhanga,19 in Saran, 18 in Madhepura, 18 in Sheikhpura, 18 in Kishanganj, 17 in Muzaffarpur, and 17 in Begusarai.
The 8 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 2 in Samastipur. With it, the toll climbed to 2,311 in Patna, 428 in East Champaran, 347 in Darbhanga, 176 in Nawada, 148 in Samastipur, 122 in Sitamarhi, and 94 in Gopalganj.
