Patna : Active cases further decline to 5,700 in Bihar including 657 in Patna on June 12 as only 432 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on June 11, 2021. The Active cases count in Bihar was 6,348 on June 11, 2021. Bihar also reported 18 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 9,484 in the state on June 12.
Of the 716728 Covid-19 cases reported so far in Bihar, altogether 701543 patients have been declared cured including 1,062 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) improving to 97.88% on June 12 from 97.79 % on June 11, 2021.
Bihar has tested 3,12,13,153 samples so far including 1,20,023 samples on June 11, 2021. The 432 new Covid-19 cases included 37 in Patna, 33 in Purnia, 32 in Supaul, 28 in Siwan, 24 in Saran, 20 in Darbhanga, 20 in Gopalganj, 18 in Muzaffarpur, 17 in Begusarai, and 14 in Madhepura.
The 18 new deaths due to Covid-19 included 3 in Patna, 2 in Vaishali, 2 in Madhubani, and 2 in Araria. With it, the Covid-19 toll climbed to 2,310 in Patna, 427 in East Champaran, 346 in Darbhanga, 321 in Madhubani,246 in Saran, 190 in Vaishali, 175 in Nawada, 174 in Purnia, 163 in Siwan, 122 in Supaul, 121 in Sitamarhi, 112 in Araria, and 108 in Jehanabad.
