Patna : Active cases further dropped to 6,895 in Bihar including 832 in Patna on June 10 as only 551 more persons tested positive for Covid-19 in the state on June 9, 2021. The Active cases count in the state was 7,353 on June 9, 2021.

The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients in Bihar improved to 97.72 % on June 10, 2021. Meanwhile, the Covid-19 death toll has jumped to 9,452 in Bihar following a fresh audit into the deaths after the outbreak of the pandemic in the state recently.

Meanwhile, Bihar Health Minister (HM) Mangal Pandey on June 10, 2021, flagged off the five mobile vans for RTPCR tests in the state. These vans were donated by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation recently. Unicef India has also given 300 Oxygen Concentrators and 25 RTPCR System to Bihar Government.

The 551 new Covid-19 cases included 63 in Patna, 48 in Purnia, 40 in Supaul, 30 in Begusarai, 28 in Gopalganj, 26 in Saran, 24 in Munger, 23 in Muzaffarpur, 20 in Madhepura,and 20 in Vaishali. The state has so far tested 3,09,83,011 samples including 1,06,483 samples on June 9, 2021.

The 9,452 deaths caused to Covid-19 in Bihar include 2,307 in Patna, 611 in Muzaffarpur, 465 in Nalanda, 454 in Begusarai, 426 in East Champaran, 353 in West Champaran, 343 in Darbhanga, 319 in Madhubani, 305 in Bhagalpur, 275 in Gaya, 269 in Rohtas, 245 in Saran, 188 in Vaishali, 180 in Buxar, 174 in Nawada, 171 in Purnia, 162 in Siwan, 156 in Munger, 156 in Bhojpur, 146 in Samastipur, 146 in Kaimur, 130 in Saharsa, 121 in Supaul, 119 in Sitamarhi, 109 in Madhepura, 109 in Banka, 108 in Araria, 107 in Jehanabad, 104 in Jamui, 101 in Lakhisarai, 94 in Katihar, 92 in Gopalganj, 85 in Khagaria, 75 in Aurangabad, 73 in Arwal, and 65 in Kishanganj.
