Ara : Two minor boys drowned to death in a village pond at Mahavirganj under Charpokhari police station (PS) in Bhojpur District on June 9, 2021, morning. Villagers fished out the bodies and informed police about the incident.
Ppolice recovered the bodies and brought them over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased were identified as Lavkush, son of Anil Yadav, and Munna, son of Bhikhari Yadav, of Mahavirganj (Gadhani) under Charpokhari PS. SHO, Charpokhari PS, said that Lavkush and Munna were taking bath in the village pond when they slipped into deep water and drowned. The villagers, hearing the cry of the children, rushed to spot but could not rescue them.
