Banka : Roof of a Madrasa located at Navtolia under Banka Town Police Station (PS) in Banka District in Eastern Bihar was blown off in a massive blast around 8 am on June 8, 2021. The Madrasa was, however, closed due to Covid-19 panfdemic. Banka SP Arvind Kumar Gupta while confirming the explsoion at Madrasa said the Forensic Science Team had reached the spot and was investigating into incident from different angles including the explosive used to trigger the blast.
Replying to a query, SP Gupta said that at it stage it could not be said whether the terrorists were behind the explosion. The SP said that he had no information about anyone getting injured in the blast.
According to sources, blast took -lace on nthe ground floor of the Madrasa. A few persons were reportedly present at Madrasa when the blast rocked the area. Police are yet to arrest anyone in connection with the blast.
