New Delhi : India logged 86,498 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours, the lowest in 66 days, taking the tally of cases reported so far in the country to 2,89,96,473 at 8 am on June 8, 2021. India reported less than 1 lakh Daily New Covid-19 Cases after 63 days.
On the other hand, a total of 1,82,282 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally of patients declared cured to 2,73,41,462 on June 8, 2021. Recoveries continued to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the 26th consecutive day on June 8, 2021, as the Recovery Rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients improved to 94.29% in India.
The daily positivity rate was 4.62% in the country on June 8, less than 10% for 15th consecutive days. The Weekly Positivity Rate stqnds at 5.94% in the country, according to Union Health Ministry figure.
India’s Active Caseload further declined to 13,03,702 on June 8, 2021, a drop of 97,907 cases in last 24 hours. The country reported 2,123 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours taking the toll to 3,51,309 in the country.
