New Delhi : Active cases further dropped to 17,93,645 in India at 8 am on June 2 from 18,95,520 cases in India on June 1, 2021, a decrease of 1,01,875 cases in last 24 hours. The Active cases on June 2, 2021, accounted for 6.34% of the total Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India. India also logged 3,207 new deaths due to Covid-19 in last 24 hours, up from 2,795 new deaths on June 1, taking the toll to 3,35,102 on June 2, 2021
India logged 1,32,788 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally to 2,83,07,832 cases on June 2, 2021. In sharp contrast, a total of 2,31,456 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours, down from 2,55,287 patients declared cured on the previous day, taking the tally to 2,61,79,085 on June 2, 2021. down from 2,55,287 patients were declared cured on June 1, 2021.
India has tested 35,00,57,330 samples so far including 20,19,773 samples on June 1, 2021. Meanwhile, a total of 21,85,46,667 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the country including 23,97,191 on June 1, 2021, according Union Health Ministry figure. the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients improved to 92.48% in India on June 2 from 92.09% on June 1, 2021.
The 3,207 new Covid-19 deaths included 854 in Maharashtra, 490 in Tamilnadu, 464 in Karnataka, 194 in Kerala, 175 in Uttar Pradesh, 137 in West Bengal, 104 in Andhra Pradesh, 99 in Punjab, 80 in Haryana, 65 in Rajasthan, 62 in Delhi, 59 in Bihar, 51 in Assam,45 in Uttarakhand, 45 in Madhya Pradesh, 32 in J&K, 29 in Chhattisgarh, 22 in Gujarat, 18 in Manipur, 14 in Meghalaya, and 9 in Jharkhand.
