Patna : Bihar Government on May 13, 2021, extended the lockdown period till May 25, 2021, in view of decline in new Covid-19 cases across the state ever since the lockdown was enforced on May 5, 2021. The lockdown was scheduled to expire on May 15, 2021.
Bihar logged 7,752 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours including 1,485 in Patna, 551 in Nalanda, 437 in Vaishali, 409 in Punia, 320 in West Champaran, 277 in Saharsa, 243 in Samaastipur, 233 in Gaya, 232 in Saran, 206 in Madhubani, 179 in Araria, 163 in Aurangabad, 149 in Kishanganj, and 144 in Madhepura. The Active cases dropped to 96,277 in Bihar on May 13 from 99,623 on May 12, 2021. Bihar recorded 90 new deaths in last 24 hours taking the tally to 3,593 in the state on May 13, 2021.
