Bokaro (Jharkhand) : Utkarsh Raj, a Class VIII student of  DPS Bokaro, Jharkhand, has secured All India Rank I in the final round of national level exam and will represent India at the Global Hanoi Open Mathematics Competition (HOMC) 2020-21. Utkarsh is  among the top six students in the junior group  to represent India at the Global Maths Competition- HOMC.
In the first round of HOMC more than 6,000 students from across the country participated through the virtual platform of which 500 students were shortlisted for the second round. Among the top 500 students, 50 students were shortlisted for the final round which included six students of DPS Bokaro and out of them Utkarsh Raj has made it to the Global level of HOMC.
HOMC is organised by Meccademia Education Institute for Junior (Grade 7 & 8) and Senior (Grade 9 & 10) students with the objectives to identify and nurture mathematical talent and motivate the students at junior and senior high schools.
A S Gangwar, Principal, DPS Bokaro, congratulated Utkarsh on his  extraordinary achievement. He said that Utkarsh has made the school proud. ” This success is the outcome of the hard-work, perseverance, focus, and dedication.
