All-rounder Glenn Maxwell scored 25 in 20 balls with 1 four and 2 sixes. DC had won the toss and opted to bowl.
Batting first, RCB lost the wickets of both the openers : Virat Kohli (captain) and Devdutt Padikkal, when the score was 30 runs after 4.1 overs. Kohli was bowled by ast bowler Avrsh Khan for 12 while Pdikkal was bowled by fast bowler Ishant Sharma for 17.
