Patna : Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), the three-time finalist, demolished Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 10 wickets in the 16th match of IPL 2021 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on April 22, 2021, late night, as openers Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli (captain) scored unbeaten 101 and 72 runs respectively. Chasing a target of 178 runs, RCB scored 181/0 in just 16.3 overs. Padikkal scored an unbeaten 101 in only 52 balls hitting 11 fours and 6 sixes while Kohli remained 72 not out in 47 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Padikkal and Kohli added 181 runs for the first wicket. Padikkal was named Player Of The Match.

RCB had won the toss and opted to bowl. Batting first, RR scored 177/9 in 20 overs with Shivam Dube scoring 46 in 32 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes while Rahul Tewatia scored 40 in 23 balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Sanju Samson (wk) scored 21 runs while opener Jos Buttler fell to Mohd Siraj for 8. RR were 43/4 after 7-2 overs. Fast medium bowler Harshal Patel took 3/47 in 4 overs while Mohd Siraj took 3/27.

RCB now has 8 points from 4 games while RR has just 2 points from 4 games. RCB has won all its 4 games and remains unbeaten the tournament.
