Chas (Jharkhand) : Sutlej House galloped ahead of its rivals securing 80 points in an Inter-House Quiz Competition held at DPS Chas, Bokaro, in Jharkhand, on virtual platform, and won the Quiz Competition in a close contest. It was followed by Ganga House which managed only 65 points despite giving a tough fight to the champion. There were four teams including the two mentioned above. Chenab and Jamuna were the other two teams who got 60 and 50 points respectively. The results were declared on April 20, 2021.
A wide range of questions related to Definition of Scientific Concepts, Potpourri, Mixed Bag, General Knowledge, Picture Identification, Countries & Capitals, Currencies, Books & Authors, Awards and Trophies, Culture & Heritage, and Entertainment, were asked by the Quiz Master. The format of the quiz included three rounds for each team – Direct Questions, Audio- Visual Round and Rapid Fire. The time allotted to give the correct answers was 10 seconds. The quiz provided an opportunity for the participants to explore and learn about different areas of the subjects of their interest and the curriculum. It was a wonderful learning experience.
Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Chief Mentor, DPS Chas, in her message, said, “DPS Chas believes that positive competition provides a great platform to display knowledge and skills that one has amassed over the years. Achievements through competitions can leave great imprints on one’s persona. The development of competitive attitude is a must for a growing child.”
Officiating Principal, P Shailaja Jayakumar, congratulated all the participants for their marvellous performance in the quiz contest, making it a great success. She applauded the inquisitiveness in children.She also lauded their aptitude for gaining knowledge and developing intelligence.
