Ranchi (Jharkhand) : Senior Jharkhand leader and MLA Saryu Rai, Nitil Soren, teenage son of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren, besides former cabinet minister and present MLA from Chandankyari Amar Boury, have tested positive for Covid-19. Besides Saryu Rai, his Private Secretary Ricky too has tested positive for Covid-19.
Saryu Rai, in a tweet, said that he has been tested positivefor Covid-19 and has gone for home isolation and asked those who had been in touch with him in recent days to undergo medical test done for their saftey.
CM Hemant Soren while talking to a private TV channel informed that his son Nitil has tested positive for Covid-19 and is in CM home isolation.
Amar Boury also tweeted that he has been tested positive for Corona and is in home isolation.
Meanwhile, Aactive Casesof Corona crossed 29,000 on April 19, 2021, while 1,480 persons had died due to the pandemic, according Jharkhand Health Department figure. Fifty persons died due to Covid-19 in Jharkhand on April 18, 2021. Jharkhand has so far reported 1,62,945 Covid-19 cases of which 1,33,479 patients have been declared cured /discharged.
