Ara : A youth drowned to death in river Ganga at Mahuli Ghat under Sinha police outpost in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on April 14, 2021, evening. The villagers fished out the body and family members carried the body with them. Police,were on the other hand, engaged in deciding jurisdiction instead of searching for the body. The deceased was identified as Dhananjay Singh of village Majhaua.
An elderly person Shivdharshan Singh had died at village Majhaua and his last rites were being performed at Mahuli Ghat in the evening on April 14, 2021. Dhananjay Singh had also gone to Mahuli Ghat to attend the funeral. Meanwhile, he slipped and fell into river Ganga and drowned to death. His body was fished out from Khawaspur village.
