Ara : Modesty of a teenage girl was outraged at a village under Agiaw police station in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on April 14, 2021. An FIR was lodged with Women’s police station in this regard on the statement of the girl.
Police brought the survivor over to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her before an Ara Court on April 15, 2021, to get her statement recorded under Section 164 of CrPC. Police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the accused.
SHO, Agiaw police station, said that the parents of the girl had gone to the field for harvesting and the girl was all alone at her house. Finding the girl alone, a youth of the village entered the house and outraged her modesty. When the girl raised an alarm, the youth escaped threatening her with dire consequences. She narrated her ordeal before her parents when they returned home.
