New Delhi : India recorded a total of 1,45,384 new Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,32,05,926 cases in the country at 8 am on April 10, 2021, as the horrifying spike in pandemic cases continues. On the positive side, a total of 77,567 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours in the country taking the tally to 1,19,90,859 on April 10, 2021. The recovery rate (RR) of Covid-19 patients further dropped to 90.80% in India on April 10 from 91.22% on April 9, 2021.
Active cases surged to 10,46,631 in India on April 10, 2021, a surge of 67,023 cases in last 24 hours. The Active cases on April 10 accounted for 7.93% of the total Covid-19 cases (1,32,05,926) recorded so far in the country. India has tested 25,52,14,803 samples so far including 11,73,219 samples on April 9, 2021. On the other hand, a total of 9,80,75,160 persons have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 34,15,055 beneficiaries on April 9, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,68,436 in India on April 10, 2021, with 794 new deahs being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 301 in Maharashtra, 91 in Chhattisgarh, 56 in Punjab, 46 in Karnataka, 42 in Gujarat, 39 in Delhi, 36 in Uttar Pradesh, 32 in Rajasthan, 23 in Tamilnadu, 23 in Madhya Pradesh, 22 in Kerala, 17 in Jharkhand, 11 in Haryana, 11 in Andhra Pradesh, 8 in West Bengal, 7 in Himachal Pradesh, 6 in Telengana, 5 in Uttarakhand, and 3 in Bihar. India had recorded 780 new deaths on April 9, 2021.
