Chas (Jharkhand) : Kumar Prithvi Singh, a Class II student of DPS Chas, Bokaro, in Jharkhand, has brought laurels to his school by securing third position at the National Level and First position at the State Level All India Arithmetic Genius Contest organised by SIP Academy India Pvt Ltd, Chennai. He won wins a cash prize of Rs 10,000 along with a trophy and certificate.
It is worth mentioning here that Arithmetic Genius Contest (AGC) is an All India Arithmetic Competition for students of classes II, III, and IV. This year AGC was conducted through online mode. The contest was initiated in 2016 and this is the 5th season organised by SIP Academy India Pvt Ltd. SIP runs Skill Development Programmes for children in 5-15 years age group since 2003. This organisation has its headquarters at Chennai and has a presence in 23 states, 300+ cities, and 300+ schools.
Elated over the result, Dr Hemlata S Mohan, Chief Mentor, DPS Chas, said, “The school has been nurturing brilliance in students in all the streams. These achievements are fulfilling the motto and mission of DPS Chas. It is a matter of pride for all of us to have got such a remarkable result. The hard work of the students and the teachers have always led to the best results.”
Officiating Principal P Shailaja Jayakumar congratulated Prithvi on his achievement and encouraged him to scale greater heights in his future endeavours.
