Patna : Active cases rose to 7,504 cases in Bihar including 3,205 in Patna on April 8, 2021, as 1,911 more persons including 743 from Patna, 201 from Gaya, 145 from Bhagalpur, 93 from Muzaffarpur, 61 from Munger, 56 from Begusarai, 49 from Jehanabad, 42 from Araria, 38 from Saran, 33 from Nalanda, 31 each from Samastipur and Purnia, 30 from Kaimur, 26 from Saharsa, and 25 from West Champaran, tested positive for Covid-19 on April 7, 2021. The number of Active cases in Bihar was 5,925 on April 7, 2021.
The new Covid-19 cases also included 20 from Rohtas, 19 each from Madhepura and Kishanganj, 18 from Bhojpur, 16 from Aurangabad, 15 each from Darbhanga, East Champaran, Jamui, and Siwan, 14 each from Sitamarhi, Vaishali, Arwal, and Gopalganj, 12 from Banka, 10 each from Khagaria, Lakhisarai, and Madhubani, and 9 from Buxar.
With it, the number of Covid-19 cases climbed to 2,73,830 cases in Bihar on April 8, 2021, f which 2,64,730 patients have been declared cured including 328 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate further dropping to 96.68% from 97.24% on April 7. Bihar has so far tested 2,42,85,079 samples including 89,704 samples on April 7, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,595 in Bihar on April 8, 2021, with 4 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 2 in Bhagalpur, and 1 each in Darbhanga and Gaya. With it, the toll increased to 88 in Bhagalpur, 62 in Gaya, and 40 in Darbhanga.
