Patna : Active cases surged to 5,925 in Bihar including 2,562 in Patna on April 7, 2021, as 1,527 more persons including 522 from Patna, 128 from Gaya, 78 from Bhagalpur, 74 from Muzaffarpur, 58 from Jehanabad, 39 from  Bhojpur, 34 from Rohtas, 33 each from Arwal and Saran, 32 each from Munger and Siwan, 31 each from Gopalganj and Aurangabad, 30 from Saharsa, 28 each from Vaishali and West Champaran, tested positive for Covid-19 on April 6, 2021. Bihar had reported 4,954 Active cases on April 6, 2021, as 1,080 persons had tested positive for Covid-19 the previous day.

A total of 27 persons from Begusarai, 23 from Purnia, 22 from Nalanda, 21 each from Nawada and Madhepura, 19 from East Champaran, 18 from Madhubani, 17 from Sheikhpura,  14 each from Sitamarhi, Lakhisarai and Darbhanga, and 13 from Kaimur, alsotested positive for Covid-19 on April 6, 2021.

With 1,527 more persons testing Covid-19 positive, the number of Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar rose to 2,71,919 on April 7, 2021, of which 2,64,402 patients have been declared cured including 553 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) further dropping to 97.24% from 97.58% on April 6. Bihar has tested 2,41,95,375 samples so far including 85,050 samples on April 6, 2021.

Covid-19 toll jumped increased to 1,591 in Bihar on April 7, 2021, with 3 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 1 each from Saharsa, Bhagalpur, and Munger. With it, the toll climbed to 86 in Bhagalpur, 58 in Munger, and 13 in Saharsa.
