Patna : Bihar recorded 935 new Covid-19 cases on April 4, 2021, taking the tally of Active cases in the state to 4,143 including 1,881 in Patna on April 5, 2021, from 3,560 the previous day.
The 935 new Covid-19 cases included 432 from Patna, 63 from Jehanabad, 32 each from Gaya, Purnia , Samastipur, and Muzaffarpur, 26 from Aurangabad, 22 each from Begusarai, Bhagalpur, 20 from Saran, 18 from Vaishali, 15 each from Nalanda and Sitamarhi, 13 from Bhojpur, 12 each from Gopalganj, Nawada, Rohtas, and Saharsa, 11 each from West Champaran and Madhepura, 10 from Darbhanga, 9 from Siwan, 8 each from East Champaran, Kaimur, Khagaria, 7 from Katihar, 6 from Araria, and 5 each from Madhubani and Mjunger.
With this, the number of Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar climbed to 2,69,312 cases on April 5, 2021, of which 2,63,582 patients have been declared cured including 349 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) dropping to 97.87% from 98.08% on April 4, 2021.
The Covid-19 toll climbed to 1,586 in Bihar on April 5, 2021, with 3 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including 2 in Patna and 1 in West Champaran. With it, the toll increased to 468 in Patna and 24 in West Champaran.
