Patna : Third seed & World No 7 Alexander Zverev, 23, Germany, crashed out of ATP Miami Open at Miami, USA suffering a shock defeat at the hands of World No 83 Emil Ruusuvuori, 21, Finland, in 2nd round on March 26, 2021, night. Ruusuvuori stunned Zverev in three-sets 1-6, 6-3, 6-1 in second round rallying back from one set down.
Ruusuvuori won 6 break points during the match to 5 by the German, who had recently won the Mexican Open title. He also won 5 games in a row in the match to 4 by Zverev. Ruusuvuori, in all, won 81 points during the match to 73 by Zverev. Both the players committed 6 double faults eacxh in the match.
