Ara : Some unidentified miscreants shot dead an LJP leader and injured his brother-in-law near Isadhi Bazaar under Jagdishpur police station (PS) on March 24, 2021, late night, when he was returning from a cultural programme. The deceased was identified as Premchand Yadav, 45, of village Kusumha under Ayar police station in Bhojpur district. The injured was admitted to a private clinic at Ara.
An FIR was lodged with police in connection with the incident and police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants. Tension prevails in and around the area following the incident.
Family members of the deceased said that Prem Chand Yadav along with his brother-in-law Sanjeev Kumar of village Kachnath under Piro police station had gone to attend a culture programme at Isadhi village on March 24, 2021, late evening. When he was returning from there around midnight the same day with his brother-in-law on a motorcycle, some unidentified armed miscreants waylaid them near Isadhi Bazaar and fired on them.
