Ara : Additional District and Sessions Judge, VIII, Ara, Birendra Choubey, sentenced to rigorous life imprisonment three accused : Birendra Bind, Jai Ram Bind, and Awadhesh Bind, in a September 2015 murder case. The court also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them in the murder case.
APP Ram Prasad Ram said that the accused had killed one Parmeshwar Bind alias Duggu Bind at village Mahudahi under Barhara police station in Bhojpur District on September 18, 2015, when he was working in his field at the village. A named FIR was lodged with Barhara police station in the connection on the statement of Lakshiya Devi, mother of the deceased. It was alleged in the FIR that the accused had accused her of practicing witchcraft which her son protested and so they killed him.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ VIII awarded rigorous life imprisonment to all the three named accused and also slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of them.
