New Delhi : India recorded 12,899 Covid-19 cases in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,07,90,183 cases in the country at 8 am on February 4, 2021. In sharp contrast, 17,824 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,04,80,455 on February 4, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases (1,55,025) by a stupendous margin of 1,03,25,430. The active cases accounted for just 1.44% of the total Covid-19 cases (1,07,90,183) on February 4, 2021, a drop of 5,032 cases in last 24 hours.

Of the 1,07,90,183 Covid-19 cases recorded so far in India, altogether 1,04,80,455 patients have been declared cured with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.13%. India has tested 19,92,16,019 samples including 7,42,841 samples on February 3, 2021. Meanwhile, 44,49,552 Corona Warriors have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 3,10,604 beneficiaries on February 3, 2021, according to Union Health Ministry figure.

The Covid-19 toll rose to 1,54,703 on February 4, 2021, with 107 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours including 30 in Maharashtra, 20 in Kerala, 7 in Chhattisgarh, 7 in West Bengal, 6 in Delhi,  6 in Uttar Pradesh, 4 in Tamilnadu, 4 in Uttarakhand, 3 in J&K, 2 in Gujarat, 2 in Jharkhand, 2 in Rajasthan, 2 in Karnataka, 1 in Andhra Pradesh, 1 in Haryana, and 1 in Madhya Pradesh. India had recorded 110 new deaths on February 3, 2021. The case fatality rate has dropped to 1.43 % in the country.

COVID-19 toll in India on February 4, 2021, was : Maharashtra (51,169), Tamilnadu (12,371), Karnataka (12,225), Delhi (10,864), Andhra Pradesh (7,157), Uttar Pradesh (8,674), West Bengal (10,195), Gujarat (4,391), Madhya Pradesh (3,816), Rajasthan (2,770),  Punjab (5,628), Telengana (1,606), J&K (1,941), Haryana (3,024), Bihar (1,508), Odisha (1,906), Jharkhand (1,077), Assam (1,083), Uttarakhand (1,655), Kerala (3,796), Chhattisgarh (3,718), Puducherry (652), Goa (768), Tripura (391), Chandigarh (336), Andaman & Nicobar (62), Himachal Pradesh (981), Ladakh (130), Manipur (372), Nagaland (88), Meghalaya (147), Arunachal Pradesh (56), Sikkim (135), Mizoram (9), and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (2).
