Sitamarhi : Some unidentified persons killed a youth of village Jafarpur under Belsand police station (PS) in Sitamarhi District in North Bihar by slitting his throat on January 2, 2021.
Belsand police recovered the body from near Bagmati river embankment at Jafarpur on January 3, 2021. The deceased was identified as Md. Sohail, 18, a native of village Jafarpur. He was missing since January 2, 2021. Police seized an iron rod and a bamboo stick from the spot.
The villagers demanded a through probe into the incident with the help of dog squad. They were also demanding visit of Sitamarhi SP to the place of occurrence, Till the time of reporting, the body had not been sent for autopsy to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital due to strong protest from the villagers.
