Patna : In a major administrative shake up effected on December 31, 2020, night, Bihar Government transferred and 29 IAS officers. The district magistrates of 12 districts : Patna, Saran, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Madhubani, Arwal, Rohtas, Jamui, Kaimur, Gopalganj, Madhepura, and Sheohar, have been transferred. Commissioners of Kosi, Darbhanga, Tirhut, Magadh, and Purnia divisions have also been shifted.
Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Amir Subhani, a 1987 batch IAS officer, has been relieved of the additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD), Additional Chief Secretary, Public Grievances, GAD, Mission Director, Bihar Administrative Mission Society, Additional Chief Secretary, Minority Welfare. Subhani will though hold additional charge of Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department, and Additional Chief Secretary, Vigilance Department.
Chanchal Kumar, a 1992 batch officer and Principal Secretary to Bihar Chief Minister, has been given additional charge of Principal Secretary, GAD, Principal Secretary, Public Grievances, GAD, Mission Director, Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society. Chanchal Kumarhas, howevrer, been relieved of addional charge of Principal Secretary, Building Construction Department.
K Senthil Kumar, 1 1996 batch IAS officer and Commissioner, Kosi Division, Saharsa, has been shifted and appointed Secretary, Home Department.
Ms Safina A N, a 1997 batch IAS officer and Commissioner, Purnia Division, has been transferred too and appointed Secretary, Minority Welfare Department.
Mayank Varvade, a 2001 batch IAS officer and Commissioner, Darbhanga Division, has also been transferred and appointed Commissioner, Magadh Division, Gaya. Asangwa Chuba Aao, a 2003 batch IAS officer and Commissioner, Magadh Division, has been shifted and appointed Secretary, Education Department.
Pankaj Kumar, a 1997 batch IAS officer and Commissioner, Tirhut Division, Muzaffarpur, has been transferred and made Secretary, Backward and Extremely Backward Classes Welfare Department.
Manish Kumar, a 2005 batch IAS officer and Special Secretary, Information Technology (IT) Department, has been transferred and made Commissioner, Tirhut Division, Muzaffarpur.
Kumar Ravi, a 2005 batch IAS officer and DM, Patna, has been transferred and appointed Secretary, Building Construction Department. He will also hold additional charge of MD, Bihar State Building Construction Corporation, Patna.
Chandreashekhar Singh, a 2010 batch IAS officer and DM, Muzaffarpur, has been shifted and appointed DM, Patna, replacing Kumar Ravi.
Divesh Sehra, a 2005 batch IAS officer and MD, Bihar State Scheduled Caste Co-operative Development Corporation, has been transferred and appointed Secretary, Finance Department.
Balamurugan D, a 2005 batch IAS officer and Project Director, Bihar Rural Livelihood Project, has been transferred and appointed Secretary, Rural Development Department. He will hold additional charge of Project Director, Bihar Rural Livelihood Project.
Ms Poona,, a 2005 batch IAS officer and Special Secretary, Agriculture, has been transferred and appointed Commissioner, Saran Division. Radheyshyam Sah, a 2005 batch IAS officer and Special Secretary, Revenue & Land Reforms Department, has been shifted and appointed Commissioner, Darbhanga Division.
Mohd Arshad Aziz, a 2006 batch IAS officer and DM, Gopalganj, has been shifted and appointed Sugarcane Commissioner, Sugarcane Industry Department.
Pranav Kumar, a 2008 batch IAS officer and DM, Bhagalpur, has been shifted too and made DM, Muzaffarpur. Avanish Kumar Singh, a 2010 batch IAS officer and DM, Sheohar, has been shifted and appointed DM, Jamui. Pankaj Dixit, a 2011 batch IAS officer and DM, Rohtas, has been shifted and made Director, Technical, Industry Department.
Deor Nilesh Ramchandra, a 2011 batch IAS officer and DM, Madhubani, has been transferred and made DM, Saran. Ravi Shankar Chaudhary, a 2011 IAS officer and DM, Arwal, has also been shifted and appointed Additional Secretary, Health.
Amit Kumar, a 2012 batch IAS officer and MD, Bihar State Building Construction Department, has been transferred too and made DM, Madhubani. Dharmendra Kumar, a 2013 batch IAS officer and DM, Jamui, has been shifted and made DM, Rohtas.
Nawal Kishore Chaudhary, a 2013 batch IAS officer and DM, Kaimur, has been shifted and made DM, Gopalganj. Navdeep Shukla, a 2013 batch IAS officer and DM, Madhepura, has been transferred too and made DM, Kaimur. Subrat Kumar Sen, a 2013 batch IAS officer and DM, Saran, has been transferred and made DM, Bhagalpur.
Shyam Bihari Meena, a 2014 batch IAS officer and Joint Secretary, Disaster Management Department, has been transferred and made DM, Madhepura. Sajjan R, a 2015 batch IAS officer and DDC, Gopalganj, hads been shifted and made DM, Sheohar.
Ms J Priyadarshini, a 2015 batch IAS officer and City Commissio ner, Bhagalpur, has been shifted and made DM, Arwal. Ms Varsha Singh, a 2016 batch IAS officer and DDC, Katihar, has been shifted and appointed Joint Secretary, Building Construction Department.
The GAD issued a notification regarding these transfer on December 31, 2020.
