Patna : The Covid-19 cases recorded so far in Bihar climbed to 2,48,028 on December 22, 2020, afternoon, as 497 more persons including 165 from Patna, 36 from Muzaffarpur, 30 from Gopalganj, 30 from Jehanabad, 25 from Kaimur, and 23 from Bgusarai, tested positive to the pandemic on December 21, 2020.
According to State Health Department figure, 18 persons from Nalanda, 18 from Saran, 14 from Gaya, 14 from Vaishali, 12 each from Bhagalpur, Samastipur, Madhubani, and East Champaran, 11each from Bhojpur and Supaul,also tested positive to Covid-19 on December 21, 2020.
Of the 2,48,028 Covid-19 caxes recorded in Bihar till date, altogether 2,41,935 patients have been declared cured including 577 in last 24 hours with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.54%. the number of active cases in Bihar was 4,730 on December 22, 2020. Bihar has tested 1,73,36,868 samples so far including 1,19,315 samples on December 21, 2020.
The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,362 in Bihar on December 22, 2020, with 4 new deaths being recorded in the state in last 24 hours including one each in Vaishali, Madhubani, Siwan, and Saharsa.
