Raxaul : The Bhartiya Janata Party has started organising Kisan Sammelan at different places to make the farmers of East Champaran District in North Bihar aware of the benefits of the new 3 Farm Laws to counter the on going nationwide protest by the farmers, supported by the opposition parties, against the three laws.
The BJP workers are organising Kisan Sammelan and Kisan Chaupals in all 12 assembly constituencies of the district. The first Kisan Sammelan was held at Narkatiya on December 16, 2020, and was addressed by Bihar BJP president Dr Sanjay Jaisawal while the second Kisan Sammelan was organised at Dhaka on December 17, 2020, which was addressed by first woman Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar Renu Devi which a large number of farmers attended and supported the new Farm Laws by raising their hands at the meeting.
On December 18, 2020, a big Kisan Sammelan was organised at Raxaul in which the farmers of Raxaul constituency took out a rally of 100 bullock carts. State BJP Chief Dr Sanjay Jaisawal and RaxaulMLA Pramod Sinha, MLA of Raxaul were seen sitting on the bullock carts. The farmers were raising slogans in favour of the new Farm Laws.The bullock carts carrying farmers reached the meeting ground at Raxaul.
Dr Jaisawal while addressing the mega Kisan Sammelan at Raxaul said the new farm laws are aimed at improving the economic condition of the farmers by providing them the opportunity to get direct benefits of the sale of their
products withoutthe involvement of any middlemen. He said that the opposition parties are misleading the farmers for their survival. He assured the farmers that the MSP and Mandi system will continue under these laws. BJP leader Anil Kumar Sinha also addressed the sammelan.
